lol @ "domestic".

Nice way of phrasing it.

Whooo, thank you so much for this Asta! (& Happy New Year dear! ♥)

Heh, I once again struck by how candid Jamie is. I hope he doesn't take heat for this, but I certainly don't feel too bad for giving a pass on "Caprica" now.

I also read the link to the complete Jamie interview regarding L&O: UK. I think Jamie nailed it on the head when he said: What you learn about this show is the faster it moves and the shorter the scenes, the better it works. The less it's about Brad and I, or Freema and Ben, the show works. I've always thought the actual "star" of this series is the "ripped off headline" cases they feature week-in, week-out. Once again, I feel Jamie is brutally honest when it comes to his opinions. <333

Oh he will, because Digital Spy grossly overstated that he "blasted" the show in their subhead and people will see that and take it at face value. If they take a second to actually read what he said that he's not blasting it at all, he's just being honest. It didn't work for him, just like it didn't work for a lot of BSG's audience. Last I checked that was normal. ;)

The UK press are unparallelled at zeroing in on a sound bite and generating their own brand of wank.

No kidding! I completely agree with you that the article's subtitle grossly overstated the fact. Jamie did not blast anything, just honestly stated his opinion, which is remarkably valid and sincere imho. I'd hate to see him taking heat over this, but I'm afraid it's inevitable given the soundbite of the article.

I'll still tune in for Caprica's premiere. I hate to judge anything without seeing it. But he's certainly made me feel better if my predisposed feelings don't change and I give up after one episode. :)

First of, love your icon!

I admire you taking your time to actually see the show before you decide whether you want to see it or not. Truthfully, I was a smidgen mad at RDM (at how season 4.5 turned out) to invest my time on Caprica or The Plan for now. Who am I kidding, unless Jamie is involved with the project, I don't foresee I'd watch any BSG spin-offs.

i watched the pilot of Caprica and totally loved it

he didn't exactly "blast" it, he even prefaced it with "I liked it". I guess he just meant it wasn't his cup of tea. (I haven't watched yet but I think it won't be for me either)

Re dollhouse: how cute is it that he mentions how much he likes Tahmoh so often!

The British press seems to have a knack for taking a phrase or even a word and twist it and blow it out of proportion. I don't think Caprica will be terrible and it's clear, for those who read the entire article, that Jamie didn't think so either. It's just clear he doesn't feel the series is as good as the one he starred in and we'll likely all agree with him. ;)
