Jamie Bamber at Dragon Con
I just saw the announcement that Jamie will be attending Dragon Con. Since he's been scheduled to appear three times and forced to cancel twice do to scheduling conflicts, I'll believe it when I'm standing in front of him. ;-)

Oh good news! Hopefully he'll make it, even though it's probably a bit too early to know for sure.

I suppose there will be a BSG panel then? Aaron's probably coming and Mark Sheppard too. Hopefully they'll announce some more, as they're the usual suspects. And I hope we'll hear a bit about Outcasts too!

(I do wish they had bothered to look up what Jamie's working on at the moment, they listed Aaron's new show...)

Thus far, the BSG guests scheduled to attend are: Jamie, Aaron Douglas, Edward James Olmos, Erica Cerra (though I think she's there for 'Eureka'), Mark Sheppard, Matthew Bennett, Michelle Forbes, Rekha Sharma, and Richard Hatch. With two months to go, I wouldn't be shocked to see cancellations and additions.

Thanks! EJO and Jamie combo should be interesting, don't know if they ever did a panel at a con together. I hope EJO keeps it lighthearted though and lets the others talk too (and refrains from statements like "watching BSG could save the middle east").

No idea who Erica Cerra is...

I've never seen Jamie and EJO on a panel together, but I saw EJO at DC two years ago and he tended to monopolize the conversation. I'm hoping Jamie might do a L&O panel. They had one a few years ago.

Erica played Maya in a few eps. She was Hera's adoptive mother. She stars on Eureka now.

A L&O panel would be great! To be honest as much as I like watching the BSG cast interact, I don't think there is that much new to be expected from a BSG panel. All the questions have probably be asked before and the enthusiasm kinda dies down after a while... (but I'm probably on my own in that opinion)

zegeekgirl and I were just discussing what questions we would ask Jamie if we got the chance and we both agreed there really wasn't much left to cover when it came to BSG. I would be curious if his opinion has changed at all about the finale in the year plus since it aired, but he's always seemed pretty steadfast in his opinions (and I agree with him about the finale :).

I was thinking about this more and found that, honestly, I'd be more interested in hearing him talk about L&O:UK. BSG has been discussed so much, there are a few things there, but really I'd like to pick his brain about playing a character who largely serves other characters' stories on a daily basis. I want to know how much of Matt Devlin's back story he has mapped out in his head. ;) (Or if he doesn't think about that as much. It's probably somewhere in the middle...)

I've got the impression he's interested in other people's opinions but has some pretty strong opinions himself, so you're probably right.

If I could ask him anything about BSG I would like to know what he thought about the resolution of the mythical arc and the whole godly intervention aspect of it. But that's just because I wasn't a fan of the finale (and most of season 4), I don't know if I would want that to shine through though.

At the moment I'm most interested in hearing about Outcasts and working in South Africa. Shame we won't have seen anything until then.
