Film-makers nominated for award
A group of 17-18 year-olds from Derry have been nominated for a prestigious Activision First Light Movies Award.
The young film-makers supported by The Nerve Centre in Derry, were nominated for their short film 'The Ragdoll Girl' a stylish, chilling film accompanied by a poem recited in dulcet tones.
As part of the 'Best Horror', they will be judged by Rupert Grint (Harry Potter), Jamie Bamber (Law & Order) and BBC Entertainment Correspondent Lizo Mziba.
The group are up against two other nominated films from Stockton-on-Tees and Belfast for the 'Best Horror' award.
The winning film from each category will be announced at the glittering awards ceremony on March 17, hosted by T4's Miquita Oliver and Rick Edwards at the Odeon Leicester Square, London.
