Preview Clip from 'No Exit'
SciFi has posted a preview clip for next weeks episode, 'No Exit'. It features Lee and Laura, which makes me doubly happy. I don't feel it's spoilery if you have seen all the episodes to date and have assumed what the political endgame would be.

And HERE is the direct link.

to be honest i'm not really happy about this. i think it's time to acknowledge that they're no longer have a system even resembling a democracy and declare martial law. i mean what's the point if noone in the government has been elected and they ignore whatever the quorum decides on doing anyway.
the only point of the quorum is selling whatever adama has decided on doing to the public and what's lee supposed to do now, just assemble people for the quorum at random?
i'm happy that lee gets a more prominent role within the fleet but i fear he's still just a puppet to papadama...
just my two cents

I'm assuming that names will be put into nomination for the Quorum seats. Or maybe the problem is no one wants the job now and Lee has to go about talking people into it. And what of the Cylons? Do they get a seat now as they desire? I actually hate judging scenes out of context, but I was so excited to see a preview clip of just Lee and Laura having a conversation, my curiosity got the better of me. I do agree that it's impossible to have the type of government they once did under the present circumstances, but martial law is only going to add to their problems.

Eee!

But I do have one quibble. If Roslin feels that she can't do the heavy-lifting as president anymore then SHE SHOULDN'T BE PRESIDENT ANYMORE. None of this "I'll still be president by name, but you'll do all the work." She should resign citing health reasons, and the fleet already knows she's sick anyway. And people couldn't really complain about Lee becoming Prez considering the rest of the government IS DEAD.

Well, in any case I've been assuming for a while that Roslin will die at the end of the series and Lee will be president eventually.

I was pissed at Laura a couple of weeks ago for essentially resigning the presidency without actually resigning the presidency and making Lee do all the work...which is what seems to be happening now. The only rational I can come up with for this is that, right now, the government consists of two people - President Laura Roslin and (presumably) Vice President Lee Adama. To step aside so soon after the slaughter of the Quorum and helping put down a mutiny and to just leave Lee with no support system might make a bad situation even worse. I think she's telling Lee that she knows she won't be around much longer and she'll do what she can to help with the transition, but he needs to start working on forming his government.
