Over at Jamiebamber.com.uk, Jamie has posted a blog entry, his second in two and a half years! ;) He talks a bit about currently filming Law & Order:UK in London and working on Dollhouse, but the real reason for the post is to support a good cause:
Now the favor.Jamie's fundraising page can be found HERE at Sparks.org.uk.
I am an ambassador for a charity called SPARKS which does amazing funding of research into infant health issues, particularly pre/post-natal stuff. On Saturday 10th October I am running 10km, doing an assault course and solving mental puzzles in a team event. I would be humbled if you could visit the following and maybe support.
This Saturday I am going to be completing a team challenge with my buddy, Kenny Logan on behalf of his LOGAN"S CHALLENGE event for Sparks. Also in our team will be Olympic gold medalist, James Cracknell. I will be running as fast as I can for 10km while Kenny gets on his bike and cycles 25km. There is an assault course leg which we all do and in between all of that we have skills challenges where we have to calm down to allow our brains and logical faculties to solve some mental puzzles... and the whole thing is in aid of SPARKS, a charity I am very proud to support. Sparks funds all sorts of research that otherwise would not happen and aims to discover more about pre and post natal problems for children. For example the incredible new technique of chilling babies who have had traumatic births to the point of hypothermia in order to contain any brain swelling was pioneered by SPARKS research. Kerry and I are proud ambassadors of SPARKS. I would be very grateful if you would make a donation to spur us all on. We will be in Black Country Park this Saturday 10th October from 10am till 3pm!!
I also see that he posted at the Bamber Bunnies site HERE.
