While I was a bit sceptical about 'supernatural cop show' when I first heard about it, from what little I've read I've warmed to the premise a lot and think it could be the sort of show I'd really enjoy.

Here comes the 'but' though. :P

I really don't want to see them cast anymore BSG people. To use Joss Whedon as an example, he very much casts to his audience, which on one level is great for that audience, but it's also IMO a symptom of why commercial success post Buffy/Angel has eluded him. Every thing's too insular and to be honest, too fanboyish.

Other than that my only wish is they try to make the show as realistic and gritty as possibly, I don't really want to watch Charmed with 150% more cops!. I'm getting old and cranky and with each passing year my patience for stuff I deem goofy dwindles. I am cautiously optimistic it won't be goofy though...

I would actually be OK with one more BSG actor being cast. I think Tricia has the potential to a good Morgana. But any more than two actors and lines start becoming blurred. And Tricia, for instance, had very little screen time with Jamie. Now, I know I'll raise the ire of some, but I would not want to see Katee cast on the show because people's minds will go to Lee and Kara. Casting Eddie or Mary would also may be a mistake.

One of my problems with Caprica was they cast so many people from BSG, even if they were only supporting players on BSG, that it became a distraction. And then to be told, 'Oh, no, they are no relation to the other characters they played. Their casting doesn't mean anything.', was problematic given what we knew of the BSG universe.

So, yes, I hope Ron shows restraint in casting actors he has already worked with.
