"17th Precinct" Links from This Week
I know many of us were swept up in the excitement of the 17th Precinct set photos of a certain triumvirate of BSG actors earlier this week. Distracted by all that pretty, you may have missed some articles (and media enthusiasm) about the project. Or, if you're me, you either got really busy or sucked in by the ease of retweeting on @JamieBamberNews. So, without further ado, here is what you may have missed...

Red Dot Diva asks "Will it Enchant?" I think we know the answer to that question!

After Ellen states, "If great casting guaranteed a great TV show, NBC’s '17th Precinct' would be a sure thing." The article does contain spoilers, but I love the graphic they created at the top of the page.

From The New York Post: "Frak yes! It's a 'BSG' reunion!"

Vancouver is Awesome covers the BSG Reunion at the 17th Precinct." Photographer and writer Susan Gittins does a great job of reporting on the filming to date. And, no, I'm not just saying that because I was quoted at the end of the piece. ;) The comment about Susan (Kristin Kreuk) is likely inaccurate, unless Ron made some changes from the script that's floating around.

What's Playing recaps the pilot script and declares it, "A very intriguing pilot script...this could be something very special." Obviously, Spoiler Alert!

Zap2It states, "Tricia Helfer confirms '17th Precinct' is a 'Battlestar Galactica' love-fest." Minds out of the gutter, people! It's actually a very brief piece that was posted after Tricia tweeted the photo of she, James and Jamie. But Zap2It adds, "It's obviously still very early in the game, but forgive us if this image and the prospect of these three solving magic murders every week doesn't warm our heart a few extra degrees." So say we all...

ETA: Esai Morales cast as Lt. Liam Butterfield in 17th Precinct. Liam was the last significant role (that I'm aware of) that needed to be cast. Production continues on the pilot for one more week.

Estoy muy divertida que Leland Morales Alejandro Javier Adama se pone a trabajar con su abuelo ahora. Ay, qué lindo.

*ignore me, amusing myself over here...*

De verdad está un poco divertido que ahora están trabajando juntos. Tal vez el abuelo quiere sus libros de regreso :)

*this is what i get for spending the evening with mom and aunt*

With the retro styling, JB's starting to look like 70's era Robert Redford - the blue eyes, the bone structure, and the strawberry blonde sideburns. Never a bad thing, in my book!

70's era Robert Redford

I could not agree with this comment more. ;)

JB's starting to look like 70's era Robert Redford that is an interesting view. that era had a lot of nice looking men.

Thanks for putting that list together!
I could swear I saw that pic on afterellen before though, I think a BSG fan made it on LJ or tumblr.
I also saw the child actor they got as Jamie's and Kristin's daughter on imdb and I have to say very well cast! Totally looks a little like both of them.

Oh and FYI buddytv posted about the reunion pic too and put a poll up about which show people are looking forward to the most. At the moment the potential travesty that is wonderwoman is winning!

As soon as I saw the girl they cast as Caolan and Susan's daughter I thought she was a great pick. Definitely looks like she could be a Jamie/Kristin hybrid. ;)

I saw the Buddy TV post/poll last night. I can't say I'm surprised 'Wonder Woman' was ahead in the poll. Even with that gods awful costume, the fanboys will appreciate it. ;p Also, people may want it on the air so they can see the train wreck for themselves!

Ryan Robbins just tweeted that he and Dennys Illic were on the set (http://twitter.com/RyRobbins/status/48914990144557056). I hope this means we get to see some amazing photos from Dennys of the cast :)

Do you follow Craig Anderl on Twitter? He's mentioned Dennys a few times and also hinted (before NBC cracked down at sharing too much...hmph!) that filming was being documented. :)

Nope, don't follow Craig. There are not enough words to describe how much I hate twitter :) I only saw Ryan's tweet because they get automatically reposted to his facebook fanpage. That's why I appreciate you doing a round up of links/news so I don't ever have to look at twitter :D

Hee. All the words you have to describe Twitter are likely the ones I would use to describe Facebook. ;) I guess between the two of us, we have all the social media sites covered. :)
