BBC America's Jamie Bamber: Secretly British?! Promo
Putting aside my issues with Battlestar Galactica not being a fit with BBC America, I HAVE to give the network massive amounts of credit for promoting BSG as much as they are AND the star of two of their series and and featured in third, Outcast. They've just released a, I can't begin to detail how awesome this is, Jamie Bamber promo! Yep, he's got his own promo. Well done, BBC America, well done.

Feel fee to squee in comments after watching about a hundred times. And take a close look. Yes, those are NEW Law & Order:UK clips. Did I mention how AWESOME it is?! :D

Congrats, BBCA. I almost forgive you for the litany of questionable decisions you've made over the past several years. XD

(It may just be because I'm hard at work on a web project that involves a lot of HTML code, but the blue shirt shot literally made my eyes cross. OOF.)

right now i can only say wow...... it's clever and really funny in a strange way, especially for the people that saw one show but not the other.

on a personal note i have to admit that i saw a couple of episodes from L&O:UK before BSG so i wasn't surprised by the "being British" thing but i know that a lot of people are.

anyway is an added exposure and that has to be a good thing.

Is "We speak English" a normal tagline or did they coin it special here? I only ever watch DW, (which as of late hasn't been happening) so I don't see many commercials. I recall lots of BSG promos last month.

Pretty sure "We Speak English" is their new network tagline; it also appears at the end of the "Ministry of Laughs" Chris Hardwick pre-roll that just went up.

(And I could go into a whole other finger-wagging about how "We Speak English" is reliant on a pun re: the language vs. the nationality, and in fact BBC = "British" Broadcasting Country and there are THREE other countries in Britain... but I have lunch to get back to... ;) )

LOVE THE PROMO. Love it. Moving on. XD

That's just adorable. But gosh he looks so young in BSG! I guess it has been a fair few years now. We're all getting older (but no less sexy).

I have a friend who just started watching BSG (I think in large part because she knows how big a fan I am ;) and commented that Jamie looks so young in it. He doesn't look much different now then he did by the end of the series though. I'm guessing those baby girls aged him. ;)

Squeeee! Yeah, I've watched it about 100 times. :)

I like the Cylon nod they made with the red lettering fading to white.

Oh, this is awesomepants.

Go Jamie!

Hee - secretly British my arse (and of course he is also American).

But it is rather nice to see him feted all by himself!

I love that BBCA has a sense of humor in their advertising. Also, more Jamie is never a bad thing. :)

That was such good fun! I loved it :) Great tongue-in-cheek way to tie BSG into the ostensible Britishness of their programming. Next will be a not-so-secretly-British James Callis, I imagine :)

Isn't it brilliant? I love it. I want it forever.

I kinda wish the tag line was "Matt Devlin: Now with More Cylons."

And then when LOUK returns we could have "Lee Adama: Now with more CHUNG CHUNG" ;)

this sounds hilarious (in a totally good way) especially for a fan of both shows.

Okay, but Lee and Irish really aren't the same. Among other things, Matty is SO much less emo. ;)

Of course, m'dear. It were a joke, it weren't for SRSLY. ;) (That'd be maligning Jamie's acting skillz if it were.... oh, hail naw.)

As a Brit, I thought this was really funny !! Lucky old BBC America viewers. Wonder if the Beeb will get around to showing BSG over here.
