Retroactively going back to post, but it won't be a long one ;)
Though I thought Greg Wise and the actress who played the wife were both really quite excellent, particularly in the last scene, not a favorite episode of mine. For one major reason, which is that given the way they chose to shoot Matt and Ronnie questioning the wife in the house while she was feeding the baby, with the missing knife in the rack behind her... I pegged her immediately in that moment. Oh, I thought, it's Presumed Innocent... the wife did it. Damn me and my pop culture references. ;) (I haven't seen the mothership episode of this one, I don't think.)
Some great Ronnie and Matt banter, though. ("The sex was energetic, but not violent."..."Ahh, I remember that." ..."What, having sex?" ..."No, being energetic." Bwah.) And YAY for Alicia in the wig, at last! I think she excecuted herself brilliantly, and I have to say that overall though I haven't seen an episode this series yet that stands out as a favorite, I love Alesha's material (such as it is, sometimes she doesn't get much) and the confidence with which Freema's playing her now. It's not merely the clashes with Jake, who she's still trying to figure out, she's really come into her own much the same way Matt and Ronnie feel more like equals now.
