More Factory photos
As a thank you to the fans that have been trying so hard to make the Jamie Bamber special edition of Factory magazine a reality, Howard Webster provided us with these .pdf scans of a few of the pages in the magazine, which is hitting the US industry desks this week.

Again, these photos are part of a nine page spread of the magazine, and are copyrighted by Howard Webster and Factory magazine, and are presented here with their permission.

Mmmm...so, so hawt.

You know, since Ron moore has pretty much lost his god status, I say we promote Howard Webster in his stead since Howard a) clearly has great taste and awesome talent and b) because he clearly loves us very much. I'd certainly be willing to offer libations in his name for sharing these with us.

/nods

I have no idea who any of those other people are, but now I'm actually intrigued. So, mission accomplished!

The guy kneeling down in front of Jamie is kind of cute. :)

I am seriously thinking I need to do something for Howard besides offering him my profuse thanks.

I was intrigued by Jamie's quote regarding the two sides of Lee Adama, specifically that he reads posts. Is Jamie aware of the Lee Adama meta goldmine on LJ?

I feel like we should do something as a community to thank him, though apart from posting something on LJ, I'm not entirely sure what form that could take. He's really been so lovely and generous about all of this. He could have simply taken his toys and left as most would have done, but not only has he been understanding, he's taken the time and effort to try and make the special issue of the Factory possible. and yes, that does benefit him to some extent, but it's still above and beyond the call. So kudos to him. I hope that whenever you do speak with him, you reiterate how grateful wa all are for his generosity. Even if he sent us scans of all the pages, I'd still buy the special issue just as a statemtn of support and admiration for all that he's done.

All of this proves yet again that while fandom can be a crazy ass world at times, it is also a wonderful place where you have the opportunity to meet and interact with some truly amazing people.

One does wonder. Of course, those people who hate Lee are WRONG because Lee is made of awesome, even when he's being a prick or behaving like a sullen 12 year old. It's that mix of nobility and insecurity that make him interesting. He tries to do the right thing, to be a good man and a lot of time he falls short of the mark but he does keep trying. and sometimes - like the season finale - he gets it spectacularly right.

/loves flawed, emotionally frakked up Lee *thiiiiiiiiiiis* much.

I think I've thanked Howard to the point of wondering if he's sick of hearing it. ;) And I've tried to convey to him how much his efforts are appreciated. Yet, I still feel like I should do something more. And the couple of thoughts I have had seem rather lame.

As much as 'meeting' Howard has exemplified the best of fandom for myself and others, I think he may look at the fans in a more positive way as well. I think it's been a win/win situation for everyone involved.

Lee Adama is awesome, no question, and I'm willing to debate that with anyone who disagrees with me until they beg for mercy. ;-)

It's great of Mr Webster to humor us this way. The macho-man bang-bang stuff makes me laugh, though--what I find sexiest about JB is that he's got the kind of brains and balance that I'd expect to see him solve problems without having to wave a gun around. Nothing more unattractive than a 30-year-old man (or woman) throwing a tantrum, and worse if they're armed.
