ok, i should start by saying that even if it is on my list of shows to watch i never got to the point of actually watching a House episode. mainly because i'm sort of OCD about watching shows in order. all the episodes in their order.
BUT, Jamie being Jamie I had to watch this one NOW and not in a couple of months when I would hopefully get to the point of catching up to the show.

the episode wasn't bad. i missed like probably at least 40% of what they were saying because i don't know what are they talking about but I enjoyed the shirtless and not so much the skinless. the acting was ok. the story a little strange but in a good way. and they didn't do what i was afraid that they'll do. they didn't covered his face. but they did make him look very yellowish - which is consistent with liver problems.

i liked the end with him taking back the original confession (the one that was true) and with the martinis (i would to propose the idea of martinis at work to my boss but university rules are going to win as usual).

all in all, after the moment of squirm (i was drinking my second cup of coffee when the skin started to go off) i'm going to remain to the squee.

Me too!

The scene at the end where the confessed to stealing actually made me laugh. For the most part I didn't like the episode because I didn't like the doctors but I liked the martinis.

I was so hoping for a New Jersey accent but I remain in awe of his accent work.

OMG, I burst out laughing when he started confessing to all the stealing and ripping off of people he had done and could not stop. I think it was supposed to be a very serious scene, but it was so ridiculous!

oh yes to that. and i was watching it at 8 am so that's is sort of bad i guess.

the whole accent thing is just great for me because i tend to pick up accents but I'm like unable to control it. leave me in a place with people that speak a language that i know (at least to some point) and in less than 2 days (even less is that language is my own or spanish) I speak in their accent. take me out of there and ask me to reproduce it - no way. I can't do it.

I learned long ago to tune out most of the medical jargon (which only make you question whether or not they have a medical adviser for the series) and just focus on the character interaction.

One thing I am confused by is whether Bob's infidelity was the result of his medical condition. If that was the first time he ever cheated on his wife (and we have no evidence there were other women) and if the aneurysm was affecting impulse control and compulsion, then perhaps he wouldn't have had sex with the girl if not for the aneurysm. So his lie to his wife isn't really much of a lie. I think.

See my comment below; I read it the complete opposite way. ;) Though your interpretation could be valid, too, which is an issue in the writing IMO. I'm all for wanting to provoke discussion and speculation but this veers a bit too far into homework for me.

i like to think the same thing. seems more interesting like this. and makes sense in the context of the story. or maybe is just me not wanting to admit that he can play to "bad guys" in a row.

I don't look too kindly on cheating, but being a remorseless killer ranks higher on my bad guy scale. ;) Unless Body of Proof throws us for a loop, we should have good guy Jamie for awhile. :)
