Jamie Bamber Lending His Voice to "Star Wars: The Old Republic"
Once again, thanks to Twitter, I've discovered Jamie has another project on the horizon. And very soon! He's lent his voice to "Star Wars: The Old Republic". The latest online game from LucasArts...and yet another way for George Lucas to make more money from the Star Wars saga. But I digress! Since I know nothing about gaming, I'll just share the description from the website:
An epic adventure awaits you!

Play "Star Wars: The Old Republic" and be the hero of your own Star Wars™ saga in a story-driven massively-multiplayer online game from BioWare and LucasArts. Explore an age thousands of years before the rise of Darth Vader when war between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire divides the galaxy.

Choose to be a Jedi, a Sith, or from a variety of other classic Star Wars roles, and make decisions which define your personal story and determine your path down the light or dark side of the Force. Along the way you will befriend courageous companions who will fight at your side or possibly betray you based on your actions. Together, you will battle enemies in dynamic Star Wars combat and team up with other players to overcome incredible challenges.

I couldn't find anything on the website listing the actors participating in the project. IMDB wasn't any help either. But after some googling, I found a site that posted screencaps of the closing credits HERE. My assumption is Jamie's role is small since he's amongst a very long list of actors under "Additional Voices". However, there are numerous other names you may recognize.

Being a fan of the original films it was probably fun for Jamie to be a part of and perhaps it will lead to more voice work. :)

Take note: Perhaps the first and last time you'll see him on a cast list with Armin Shimerman, Laraine Newman, Olivia Hussey and PINHEAD. (Provided that's the same Doug Bradley. Heh.)

As much as I like lookin' at him, I'd dearly love it if he got more voice work. All of his BBC radio appearances are proof that he'd be brilliant at it.

Oh man...now I really need to get hooked up with this game. (And I'm going to hope that the Doug Bradley mentioned is *that* one, because that association is OMG, YEAS!)

I wonder if I'd recognize his voice across the room the way I recognized across a room that someone in one of the other Star Wars video games was speaking Huttese. I had absolutely no idea what they were saying, but I knew damn well it was Huttese.

Given that I can pick out actor voices when they're done up unrecognizably in alien makeup, I bet I could.

That's a good news. The plays are nice and even if i'm not really into games it will be nice fro people that are to listen to good voices.

Lots of peeps doing video games, I was wondering if he'd get on that too.
And I noticed Rachael Leigh Cook in the credits, isn't she doing the TNT show he's in? I wonder if that's a coincidence...

Awesome! I'm playing that game right now. I've been looking forward to it since I heard the news that it was coming out.
