Might partially be the lighting, but basically that's just authentic Bambi. ;) His hair does get blonder from time to time, probably after he's spent time in the sun. (Come to think of it, they shot the Perception eps late last summer IIRC so that make sense...)

Older then 39. Maybe the age he would look when he would give his daughters away at their wedding. He is even getting gray.

Ah. Maybe there's a bit of gray in the hi-res shot? But I've had gray hair since I was 30 - let's be honest, it happens. ;) I wouldn't say he looks older than 39 either, but he certainly doesn't look like he looked in the BSG miniseries... nor should he.

(Mind you, I do tend to think most men are at their most attractive between the ages of 36 and, oh, maybe 45 give or take a year or two. So as far as I'm concerned, he's in the midst of his peak. ;) )

I get what you mean. It isn't even anything specific but there's something. If he's been in the sun enough to lighten his hair like that his skin probably isn't doing quite as well. It might also be partly that he's making a Dad kinda face. Maybe that's the face that keeps all the college students in line. There's also the v shaped unibrow. I will say that I started getting gray hair at 23. At my part line which is where it has continued to pop up for the last ~20 years.

Didn't someone say a while back that he was looking like Robert Redford? I think I can really see it in this pic. Excuse me, gonna go watch Barefoot in the Park on Netflix Instant.

My hair started turning white when I was about 25. I think a lot more women (and men) dye their hair then people realize. Though having lighter hair, like Jamie, means being able to let it go more. I've noticed Matt Bomer, who has a fabulous head of brown hair, when he doesn't shave for several days, has A LOT of grey stubble. ;)

As for Jamie looking older, I don't really see it, but I will say his makeup in those pics seem to be making small lines and creases more visible. It seems to happen with guest stars on shows when they haven't gone through all the makeup and lighting tests the regulars have.

I put Jamie in the Cary Grant/Pierce Brosnan category: Yeah, you noticed them in their early 30's, but, DAMN, their forties were good to them. :)

Love 'Charade'! And I never questioned 34 year old Audrey falling for him. ;) And he was 62 in 'Walk Don't Run' (a personal fave of mine) and still looking great. Cary was one of a kind.

Sometimes I dye my hair but I don't mind gray. Drives hairdressers crazy when I don't want to hide it. ;-)

I was thinking Matt Bomer was like late 20's or something. Some grey would be good for him. He has such a little boy look. I am not much of a Clooney fan but when I saw a picture of him being arrested I liked his gray beard. Have I done a good job of keep my secret love of beards quiet around here? ;-)

Just to be clear I'm not using "older" as a pejorative by any means. There are lots of men who were cute boys back in the day but then they started to look like fully grown men and they were *even more* attractive. Cary Grant was just made of suave at any age.

I probably would let the white hair go if my hair wasn't naturally dark brown. The contrast is too much for me. I was just realizing today that between the hair coloring I'm currently using and the sun lightening my hair even more, my color and Jamie's is pretty close at the moment. ;)

Matt's going to be 35 in October. I actually can't wait to see him at 40. He's also in the category of only getting better looking as he gets older (given clips I've seen of him on 'Guiding Light' when he was just starting out).

One of the best decisions Clooney made was to just go grey. Very flattering on him and I actually prefer the color to his (once) naturally brown hair.

And given how OT this post is going, I hope Kerry and Jamie's vacation plans are keeping them busy and they aren't reading this. ;p

Careful, therein lies the trap of hi-res imagery: Scrutinizing every detail. (Try looking for some of the ones we've posted in the past where he's at an event and not wearing makeup for on-camera. He's got better skin than most men I know... hell, most *women* I know, for that matter ;) )

Ha! That was me. He frequently reminds me of Redford (one of my faves) in a variety of ways. And actually, Jamie's got better bone structure so he probably won't get as craggy as Redford when he's in his 60's or later.

(LOVE Barefoot in the Park - and though Bob's terribly handsome in that (at 31), I'd probably argue that he's hotter in All the President's Men (40)... although, see previous comment. ;) )

I like the professor look (was also hoping for glasses but you can't have everything) but I get what you're saying. I think it's the styling and hairc though. Remember that photo his wife took of him in the striped t-shirt? He looked tired in that, but younger IMO.
