One more comment I'm going to leave right here that doesn't pertain to any of the threads I've already chucked my thoughts into ;) ....

asta77 and myself noticed quite a bit of evidence that this episode was originally intended to air later in the season, probably closer to Jamie's other two eps, but was moved up for some reason. For one thing, it was apparently not on the screeners that were sent out to critics; if it was not originally the second episode, that would make sense as they probably wouldn't have had time to pre-do the screeners before sending them out, depending on when the decision was made. Also, creator Mike Sussman was tweeting with LeVar Burton, and LeVar's comments seemed to indicate he had no idea he was in last night's episode... maybe because he was expecting it to air later? DON'T KNOW! ;)

Anyway, the point of all this speculation is that I'm trying to figure out what aspect of the episode might have made it seem like they needed to move it up... and I really can't. Any ideas? Anyone?

Jamie? Maybe because they're going to move up Monday Mornings, so they're going to start introducing their audiences to their new superstar.

New favourite theory.

I don't have a lot of thoughts about the Jamie plot, but the show itself bothers me on a lot of levels. Doubt that I'll be watching anything but the Jamie eps.

And the ratings were up for this episode. I'm crediting Jamie. ;)

You wouldn't have to twist my arm too hard to accept that theory. ;)
