I just remind myself we were lucky we got extra time and were able to cover as much as we did.

Truth. (FYI to everyone else: The interview ends abruptly on the Matt Devlin stuff because just prior to that, Jamie's handler was giving us the "last question" signal over his shoulder! For the last bit though, we were definitely getting in additional stuff beyond the "must-asks" that we'd trimmed it down to. Very lucky and quite pleased to have had that.)

I meant what I said on Friday when Jamie said "Is 10-15 minutes okay?" - dear man, that's 10-15 minutes more than we were even sure we'd get at all. <3 It's all gravy!

And yeah, you might have a point about Ty; I'm sure he's had discussions with DEK, D'Elia, etc. about where they want to take the character but he might not be at liberty to talk about it, esp. if he hasn't seen any further scripts.

I'm also inclined to think, like with any pilot, after it was shot, DEK, D'Elia and the network had notes as to, if not major changes, tweaks they wanted made. Hey, in the BSG mini/pilot, Helo was supposed to die on Caprica. And when Jamie talks about Lee, how often does he talk about him in the mini? And who can blame him. He was kind of an ass. ;)

Yes, he was actually my least favorite character in the mini, along with Boomer. I thought their acting was awful. He was an ass, and reminded me of a former employee of mine, so double whammy. I can see how he interpreted his character in the mini the way he did, which I guess is what led to the one-dimensionality of it. I think the interactions with Laura definitely helped flesh-out who Lee was, and fortunately that happens early on in season 1. By the end of the show, I was a big fan of both Lee and Sharon, happy that the only truly terrible acting in the show came from Cally, who wasn't a main character. PS Thanks for the awesome interview!
