Jamie's Latest Project: 'Tom and Jerry: Robin Hood and His Merry Mouse'
Yes. Really! Kerry had tweeted over the summer Jamie was doing some voice work. Actually, he was in a recording studio with his phone off when it became official TNT had picked up Monday Mornings. So, this may have been the project he was working on. Thanks to some random Tweeter (Because Jamie didn't mention this at D*C. Imagine my stern face. ;), I did a little digging to try and verify his participation as best I could.

The DVD is being released Tuesday, October 2nd. Amazon.com has it available on DVD, Blu-ray Combo pack and Streaming. The streaming link credits Jamie as one of the stars, but information is rather light for the other links. Netflix also has him credited.

Here's the trailer. Check out Robin/Jamie at about the 50 second mark. :)

Given this is a short (58 minutes), direct-to-DVD kids movie, I can understand if not everyone rushes to pick up a copy on Tuesday. However, thanks to the 2 1/2 year old niece-like child I know, I can totally rationalize placing my pre-order. ;)

ETA: The DVD seems to be available already in the UK.

ETA2: It seems as if Robin Hood is a Bamber-Norton-Griffith family affair. :)

AHHH! It was on TV this morning and I missed it! Cartoon Network showed it. And I love Robin Hood.

Gotta go look for repeats.

I second your AHHHH! I didn't even think of it being shown on TV BEFORE the DVD release!

I just checked the listings for the Cartoon Network. I think, since I have multiple kids/cartoon channels it seems. I couldn't find a listing, but Comcast isn't always accurate either. :/

Post the repeat dates/times if you find any. I bet some folks would just as soon DVR it if they were curious. ;)

Will do. I'm hoping it will be on again tonight.

It sure does sound like him, doesn't it? Aww.

Slightly confused during reporting for a moment given the fact that someone over at Amazon seems to have made a giant frak-up and applied Jamie and the other cast members for this to a TON of Warner Bros. releases, most of them animated. Oops. There are lots of other Google hits for this title, though (XBox Marketplace, Film Bug, heck even Tom & Jerry Online - that's pretty conclusive.) Not so much for the POKEMON movie they have the same cast listed for. Oh, Amazon. Sillypantses.

And hey, John di Maggio's in it? He's a voice acting GOD. That's awful damn good company. ;)

Wonder how long before it gets a UK release? I cant see the video - will just have to wait until some kind soul puts it up on Youtube.

I wondered since it was Warner Brothers that posted the trailer to YouTube if it would not be viewable outside the US. Bummer. :(

Though, I just looked and it seems to be available already in the UK on Amazon. :)

Says the uploader has not made this avaliable in your country. I HATE living the wrong side of the pond :(

I caught the last half hour of this on Cartoon Network. The part I saw was fairly "eh" unless that was actually him singing near the end but I don't think so. Though for the Hornblower fans there was swashbuckling on a ship.

Ha! <3 For those times when your buckles desperately need a swash... ;)

It doesn't sound like him at all! Weird.

I have something of an allergy to modern American cartoons, so I'll probably give this a miss, at least until my wee one is a few years older and I'm desperate for a distraction that won't drive me mad.

It's great that he's getting work though, of any kind, and I bet it was fun to do.

I love the icon that goes with the post since that about sums up my reaction perfectly. ;-P

Hee. Yeah, it was my initial reaction. ;) The kicker, for me, is I couldn't stand Tom and Jerry cartoons growing up. They were a subpar Sylvester and Tweety. And they were two of my least favorite Looney Tunes characters!

I saw that this is being repeated on Cartoon Network this Friday if anyone is interested.
