Just a few, quick thoughts before I head off to bed:

I'll get the shallow thought out of the way. Jamie looked terrific. And whoever the costume person is who matched the color of his dress shirt to his eyes: WELL DONE.

As far as guest starring roles go, I think R&I served Jamie better than other shows he's guest starred on. It took awhile for him to make an appearance, but once he did the focus shifted to his character and his guilt/innocence.

There was some nice, smaller moments in the ep. I particularly liked the conversation in the elevator between Jane and Paul and Jane coming to doubt her certainty that Paul was guilty.

It may be my personal bias ;), but I'm leaning, strongly, to Paul (Jamie) being innocent of his girlfriend's murder. Early on my mind went to 'Presumed Innocent' in which (REALLY OLD SPOILER!) the wife was the killer and set up her husband.

The ending left me rolling my eyes. R&I was guilty of something far too many shows are - the cliffhanger in which the life of one of leads is in mortal danger. Did she live or die?! To which I say, "Is she the star of the show???" ;p And we also know Jamie was signed to TWO episodes, so, um, yeah, I'm guessing they float to the surface.

Oh man, I HAD THE SAME DAMN THOUGHT. "If this ends up being 'Presumed Innocent,' by Jove imma flip a table up in here." That said, I'd also like to lean toward him being innocent if for no other reason than a twist on a twist re: innocence seems like the most common trope these days. The problem is, I don't see how we can avoid 'Presumed Innocent' if that's the case since we haven't been introduced to anyone else in his life other than the wife at this point; no one else connected to the earlier murder case.

Agreed that the cliffhanger is anything but, although there was something of a fresh angle in that he didn't actually jump, he slipped. PAUL, YOU KLUTZ. The scene in the elevator was quite nice, for sure. Although sage being Danielle's favorite color didn't go very far toward disproving Jane's theory of blah-ness. (What?! Green is my favorite color. SAGE IS THE BLAH-EST OF GREENS. ;) I bristled. I have strong feelings about palettes, mang.)

Completely and totally agree that this was among the beefier of Jamie's guest shots to date, so for that... *golf claps* He did rather well with what he was given, too. Bummer about the wait, though. And he DID look good... although I'll admit, him all clean cut in a nice suit in an interrogation room made me think once or twice of dear DS Devlin. *sniffle* (Even if Matt would never have worn a tie unless he had to be in court that day... ;) )
